I've been using the patch for i guess a few months now, So I thought I'd share it with you guys in case anyone is interested :) That said, for me personally it has improved my game play especially when healing in lower fps situations. ![]() The patch will make wow display 2 cursors, one normal X cursor moving at full speed, and the slow wow cursor lagging behind depending on fps. This cursor (the normal X cursor) will move faster than the frame rate, so it's a kind of hw cursor. hide it ), so it will simply show the X arrow cursor all the time. So I cooked up a patch to wine which makes wine ignore Windows program's requests to change the cursor (e.g. Well, I had this problem for a while as well: DirectX providing hw cursor support, and OpenGL providing much higher fps. ![]() Some of you who play WoW with its OpenGL mode have probably noticed that support for Hardware Cursor is not available. ![]()
